What better way to control comfort in an attic, basement or uncomfortable space than with one compact system? Ductless heat pumps deliver superior efficiency with ratings up to 30.5 SEER and up to 10.3 HSPF to create consistent comfort in additions, converted areas or spaces with no ducts. Ductless heat pump systems are designed for a single space and delivers even temperatures with up to eight indoor fan speeds that automatically adjust to change conditions. These systems take up very little space, making it ideal for sunrooms or small indoor/outdoor spaces that an air conditioning unit is too large for. And with Wi-Fi® capability, you can use your smartphone to change temperatures easily.
The Ultraviolet Air Purifier system is recommended for homes and families with:
- Concern for maintaining or improving energy efficiency
- Air conditioning ductwork that needs frequent cleaning
- A humid climate
- A dry climate in winter where windows are closed
- Odors caused by pets, cooking and other sources
AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) – The minimum efficiency standard for furnaces is 78% AFUE. The minimum for gas-fired water boilers is 80% AFUE and the minimum for gas-fired steam boilers is 78% AFUE. The standard is set by the U.S. Department of Energy under the National Appliance Energy Conservation Act of 1987, which became effective January 1, 1992.
HSPF (Heating Season Performance Factor) – Heating efficiency for air source heat pumps is indicated by the heating season performance factor (HSPF). The HSPF tells you the ratio of the seasonal heating output in Btu’s divided by the seasonal power consumption in Watt-hours.
SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio) – This ratio gives an indication of the performance efficiency of the system. The higher the SEER, the more efficient the unit, which in turn lowers operating costs. As of 2009, federal regulations require all new central air conditioners have a SEER of at least 13.
