GEOTHERMAL SYSTEMS INSTALLATION
Use what’s already there – free & renewable supply of energy
It’s hard to get much greener than WaterFurnace. The best method to heat and cool your home or business, geothermal is:
- Efficient – With the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory concluding that geothermal heating and cooling is more efficient than classic residential systems, it only makes sense.
- Eco-friendly – The EPA determined that geothermal energy is the most Earth friendly heating and cooling system in the industry today.
- Cost-effective – State, Federal and local government and utilities offer many tax breaks and rebates that makes your investment in geothermal a wise choice.
How Geothermal Works
We all know that Charleston homes are subjected to varying temperatures during the year. Some climates can see the extremities that summer and winter throw at us. There is a dependable source of temperature that you can put to good use; just a few feet under the earth’s surface. How is that possible?
The sun infuses the Earth’s crust with its heat energy. Forty-seven percent of that energy is stored in the ground as heat. Geothermal systems tap this heating potential using an earth loop system; harvesting this free heat for your home. This innovative technology uses the sun’s heat that the earth has readily stored to condition your home or office.
In the heating cycle, a Geothermal heat pump employs the earth loop system to draw the heat from the ground. Delivery through a classic duct system, the geothermal system draws heat from the loops and distributes it as warm air. Other choices are available to use that same heating energy to provide hot water heating and radiant floor heat.
The heating process is reversed in the cooling mode – creating cool, conditioned air all through the home. Instead of extracting heat from the ground, heat is taken from the air in your home and either moved back into the earth loop, or used to preheat the water in your hot water tank.
Replacing Existing System
Is your old furnace or heat pump about to croak? Or do you just want to replace your inefficient equipment before it costs you an arm and a leg? Geothermal systems offer a smart alternative for the replacement of older or inefficient equipment in the Charleston, South Carolina area. Most units are simple to install and can be installed in areas unsuitable for fossil fuel furnaces. There is no combustion or need to vent exhaust gasses which means our equipment can be installed virtually anywhere.
Most homes can instantly enjoy the full benefit one of our geothermal systems can provide. You do need to have ductwork previously installed. If this is not the case, we can easily solve this problem by having the required ductwork installed by our professional staff. Other options to consider are…
- Radiant in-floor heating – Gone are the mornings of walking on cold tile
- Water heating – Adding this great add-on will heat your water year-round
If you’re ready to build the home of your dreams, why not install the most efficient and luxurious heating and cooling system available today? A recently constructed home comes with a certain peace of mind that’s unmatched among previously owned homes. Owning a Geothermal system can extend that peace of mind to your heating and cooling system as well. Combining a geothermal system in your newly built home means you can pass the cost into your monthly mortgage payment. The money you save in operating costs will typically offset the increase in mortgage payment – which means you may see an increase in cashflow!
